Staff Sergeant William Earl Phillips served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War Two. He continued his service in the United States Air Force after is became a separate Service in 1947. He served a total of twenty years. He parents were Lacy and Thelma Phillips. After retiring from the Air Force, he and his wife, Jane Garrison Phillips, move to Tucson Arizona. He has a brother, Nathan W. Phillips who served in the United States Navy during World War Two. His brother-in-law, Samuel Dawson also served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War Two
His sisters are Ella Moore, Martha Phillips, Dorothy Dawson and Elizabeth Luther.
William Earl’s father, Lacy Alonzo Phillips served in the United States Army during World War One.
