Mr. Hunneke was born August 25, 1928, in White Plains, New York and served as a United States Marine in World War II and the Korean War. He attended Ithaca College, The Marine Corps Institute, Westminster College, The Naval War College and The Army War College. He was once and always a Marine and faithfully celebrated and hosted parties for the Marine Corps Birthday every November. He was on the Board of Trustees at Fairleigh Dickenson University and a member of East Carolina University’s Business Advisory Council as well as a lecturer at the ECU Graduate School of Business.

He was a Life Member of the Marine Corps Association, Marine Corps League, Navy League, Naval War College Foundation and member of the U.S. Army War College Foundation, U.S. Naval Institute, American Legion, Rotary International (Paul Harris Fellow), and The Industrial Fabrics Association International.
