CPL Earl L. Hardison served in US Army Air Forces in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He died in the service of his country on January 1, 1945 in the Philippine Islands after his plane crashed into a mountain. Earl Hardison’s name is listed on the Lenoir County WWI and WWII monument at the Lenoir County Courthouse, Kinston, North Carolina
