William David Deans was born 13 September 1925. He served in the US Navy as a Chief Petty Officer from 1943 to 1963. During World War Two he was wounded in action by a German Warship. Dave was also wounded in Korean War while on a mine clearing mission. After retiring from the military, he worked in a Navy shipyard as a Civil Service employee. Dave retired in 1975 and now resides in Kinston, North Carolina
