Staff Sergeant William Beech Jr. upon entering the US Army on December 8m 1942, was assigned to the 4th Quartermaster Training Company. After completing basic training, he was assigned as a Staff Sergeant Supply NCO. He was honorable discharged at Fort Mead, Maryland on February 22, 1946.
His awards include the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Ribbon and the World War Two Victory Medal.
He studied Pharmacy at Xavier University and met his future wife while there. He managed the Family Drug Store.
