Lee Avery is an EMS Specialist/Firefighter II with the City of Greenville Fire & Rescue Dept. His career with Greenville started approximately 4 yrs ago in 2004. During his time there, he’s quickly moved up the ranks from a basic EMT, to paramedic, to EMS Specialist. Along with obtaining his Firefighter II certification, he is also a PT instructor for the new recruits.
Lee began his career in firefighting career in 1989, working for Kinston Fire Dept. After tenure of almost 7 years, he departed with the title of Acting Captain.
Lee was an active member of North Lenoir Voluntary Fire Dept from 1987 until 2006. Firefighting has been his passion since an early age.
Married for almost 10 yrs to Dawn (Wilson) Avery, they have 2 children; a son, Logan (14) & a daughter, Reagan (9). They continue to reside in Kinston, NC. Lee is currently enrolled at LCC, obtaining his Physical Education degree.
