Marion Eugene Ipock, “Gene” served in the nited States Navy for 23 years. Originally from Cove City, he now lives in Kinston, North Carolina. At the time of his retirement, Gene had been stationed aboard eight different ships of the destroyer class and one amphibious landing craft.
